City, SRA Open New Conference Room at Union Station

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, and Armando Feliciano, Chair of the Springfield Redevelopment Authority (SRA), announce the opening of a Conference Center in Historic Union Station. This state-of-the-art room is available for rent to the public and is located on the second floor in the Terminal Building.

The room, which can accommodate up to 50 individuals, features a 93 inch monitor and sound system for presentations and a variety of multi-media programs and options. Ample and affordable parking are also available in the station garage.

“We are excited that this facility is part of the station and offers the public a unique location to use as a meeting center,” said Mayor Domenic J. Sarno. “Historic Union Station is a first-class restoration of a transportation center for the City and we’re thrilled to introduce a conference room as another opportunity to serve the public.”

The room occupies 950 square feet, and sits over the main entrance facing the North End neighborhood. “We continue to be most grateful to Congressman Neal and Mayor Sarno for their years of support in making this beautiful building a reality,” said Chairman Feliciano.

Union Station will now be the new location for the North End C-3 neighborhood meetings.

Further information regarding reserving the room is available by contacting Ms. Ginny Averett-Kuhn, Property Manager for Union Station at (413) 471-3397.
