Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Superintendent of Schools Daniel Warwick will travel to Gillette Stadium not for what one would think, to cheer on our very own New England Patriots, but to cheer on our very own Central High School football team to a historic MIAA State Championship Super Bowl victory. The Central Golden Eagles will take on Tewksbury Memorial High School tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.
Mayor Sarno and Superintendent Warwick said, “Central football coach Valdamar Brower and his team have done a great job both on the field and in the classroom. This would be another Springfield first for Central to win a major state football championship. We look forward to not only congratulating them on the field, but also right back here in at City Hall too – go Central!”
