I believe my administration has worked hard to change developers’/peoples’ attitudes from saying – ‘what do you expect, its Springfield’ to now, ‘why not Springfield!’ With their worldwide drawing power, MGM Springfield is now the major catalyst for our Springfield area region. Now, we must harness this positive energy of thousands of visitors matriculating daily to Springfield to utilize our city as their base of operations to explore and create more investment in all our economic development projects, attractions and entertainment venues, housing, neighborhood amenities and opportunities. This will continue to be my vision and drive as we reinvent and redefine our Springfield as the capital of Western Massachusetts. God Bless.
