Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant conducted a badge pinning ceremony this morning at the Springfield Fire Department to promote four new Lieutenants, and welcomed three new firefighters who recently graduated from the Mass Fire Academy. Friends and family joined the ceremony to congratulate these brave and dedicated individuals.
Promoted to the rank of Fire Lieutenant were Shawn Connery, Jeff DeGrey, Michael Pereira, and Miguel Rivera. New firefighters Nicholas Diaz, Alexander Vazques and Jeffre Zalewski were sworn in by Commissioner Conant.
