Springfield, MA – Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Jennifer Schimmel, Executive Director of Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity, celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the organization beginning with an official proclamation read on the steps of City Hall. Following by a brief speaking program, a reception held in The Glass Room at Elegant Affairs, located at 1380 Main Street.
Mayor Sarno said, “It is with great pride that the City and I have continued to partner with Habitat for Humanity. They do such outstanding work not only of bringing people and businesses of all walks of life together, but just as important, they help strengthen our neighborhoods through another good family’s ‘sweat equity’ concept.”
