Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey visited the Clifford A. Phaneuf Environmental Center in Forest Park today to meet with youth who are a part of the City of Springfield Summer Enrichment Programs. AG Healey’s Healthy Summer Youth Jobs program is providing grant funding to the Department of Parks, Recreation and Building Management to employ young residents as camp counselors, who lead enriching outdoor fitness and educational activities. At the end of her visit, she handed out Friendly’s ice cream sundae cups to the campers with Mayor Sarno and Police Commissioner Barbieri – the perfect way to end a hot summer day.
