Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was joined at Union Station by Judy Matt, President of the Spirit of Springfield, Chris Russell, Executive Director of the Springfield Business Improvement District, Brian Collins of Springfield Electric, Margaret Boyle of the Office of Congressman Richard E. Neal, and Ed Pessolano of Design & Advertising Associates, as banners celebrating Springfield’s Union Station historic rebirth were hung outside the building. The banners, sponsored by MassMutual, will be hung on Frank B. Murray Street Lyman Street and Dwight Street.
