Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and the Greater Springfield Dads Make a Difference Committee declared today that dads make a difference in the lives of children. For the past 19 years, the committee has celebrated and supported responsible fathering by raising public awareness of the value of father involvement and by increasing the visibility and utilization of services available to fathers.
At City Hall, Mayor, Sarno proclaimed June 16, 2017 as “Dads Make A Difference Day” in the City of Springfield. He was joined by Committee Members; State Representative & City Councilor/Co-Chair Bud L. Williams, Co-Chair Janis Santos, Nicole Blais and School Committee Member Barbara Gresham and additionally, City Councilor Tim Rooke.
