Mayor Sarno Takes a Spin on Springfield Pedicab

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno took his first ride in one of the new Springfield Pedicabs today! He and City Councilor Kateri Walsh were driven by Springfield Pedicab Owner Frankie Mozell on a route from City Hall, down Main Street, to Union Station.

Mayor Sarno said, “’Hey – on my birthday too!’ Just like on the Sienfeld TV show – this is really cool. I commend Mr. Mozell for his innovative and entrepreneurial spirit and just as important, his leg power too!”

Pedicabs are new to the City of Springfield and are found in cities across the nation and the world. A small three-wheeled vehicle operated by a pedaling driver, Springfield pedicabs seat two people in a comfortable seat and offer rides for transportation or leisure. Springfield Pedicab is the only licensed and insured pedicab business operating in the city. Those interested in taking a ride may book their Springfield Pedicab here: http://www.springfieldpedicab.com/.
