Mayor Sarno was happy to have Jesus Alicea and his mother Carmen in the office today after meeting them both five years ago. Jesus brought with him an Edible Arrangement and a photo from that day back in 2012 – as a young kid, he made sure to have his mom help him pick the perfect outfit to meet the Mayor in. Now this fall, he’s headed to his favorite high school , Central, and hopes to one day pursue a career in law. Mayor Sarno said that, “things like this make my day and make me so proud to be Mayor. These moments keep me going for our people and our youth.” He continued, “we have so many good people and families of all backgrounds in our wonderful City of Springfield.”
