MassHousing Officials Meet with Mayor Sarno

MassHousing officials met with Mayor Sarno and his city team yesterday to discuss housing initiatives in the City of Springfield, including the Mayor’s Quality of Life Ordinance Flex Squad, which the state has highlighted as a model in dealing with resident issues and complaints. The Flex Squad consists of officials from the Police, Housing and Law Departments and Mayor’s Office, and jointly responds to all quality of life issues reported by residents. Joining Mayor Sarno for the meeting were his Chief of Staff Denise Jordan, Chief Development Officer Kevin Kennedy and Director of Housing Geraldine McCafferty. Present from MassHousing were Executive Director Timothy Sullivan, Managing Director of Government Affairs & Communication Thomas Lyons, Director of Government Affairs Nancy McDonald, Government Affairs officer George O’Toole, Director of Homeownership Lisa Fiandaca, Director of Rental Business Cynthia LaCasse, Director of Communication Paul McMorrow, and Homeownership Representative Rocco Leone.
