Mayor Domenic J. Sarno attended this year’s Workers Memorial Day Ceremony today at the John Boyle O’Reilly Club. He offered a proclamation to declare Friday, April 28, 2017 as Workers Memorial Day in the City of Springfield. On April 28th, the unions of the AFL-CIO observe Workers Memorial Day to remember those laborers who have suffered and lost their lives while on the job, and to pursue safe jobs.
