Springfield BID Announcing Restaurant Week 2017

Tuesday, April 18, 2017

The Springfield Business Improvement District and the Springfield Restaurant Week Committee will announce with Mayor Domenic J. Sarno the launch of the 3rd Annual Springfield Restaurant Week, tomorrow on the City Hall steps at 11:00 a.m.

Mayor Sarno stated, “Once again, I commend Chris Russell of the SBID and our Young Professionals for this very ‘tasty’ initiative. We have many great established restaurants and ‘hidden jewels’ too. My family and I will be dining at one of our favorite places, Family Pizza Europa, this Friday evening.”

Restaurant Week 2017 will run from April 21st through April 30th. During this week-long event, restaurants and the community are invited to come together to celebrate Springfield dining. During this week, patrons can expect to dine at participating restaurants across the city and choose from prix-fixed $20.17 specials. Restaurant Week has proven to be extremely successful, not only in cities across the country, but also in our own backyard.

Chris Russel, Executive Director of the Springfield BID, said, “As Restaurant Week enters its third year, the growing list of restaurants is a true testament to its success. The Springfield BID is proud cohost this annual event with the Restaurant Week Committee.  The diverse list of restaurants is rivaled by no other in the region.”

Springfield Restaurant Week celebrates the burgeoning food culture in Springfield. It seeks to highlight the wide-ranging of dining options that Springfield has to offer and bring individuals not only from Springfield, but from throughout the region, to the city to enjoy a dinner at one of Springfield’s fine establishments.

“Springfield Restaurant Week is becoming one of the marquee events in our city.  What started as a way to promote dining downtown has grown into a city-wide movement.  The restaurants participating in 2017 represent nine different neighborhoods and will provide any resident or visitor a first class dining experience,” said Jay Latorre, Member of the Springfield Restaurant Week Committee.

Participating restaurants are: The Student Prince; Uno Pizzeria & Grill; Luxe Burger Bar; Pick’s – Springfield Sheraton; Currents – Marriott; Theodore’s Booze, Blues & BBQ; Adolfo’s Ristorante; Petra Lounge; Panjubi; Nadim’s Downtown; Plan B Burger Bar; Max’s Tavern; Family Pizza Europa; Mike’s East Side Pub; Solmar Restaurant & Pub; Chef Wayne’s Big Mamou; Texas Roadhouse; Saray II Turkish Restaurant; Sophia’s Sports Bar; Palette; Compari’s Ristorante; Leone’s Restaurant; North End Pizzaria & Seafood; Donovan’s Irish Pub; Café Christo’s; Tony’s Restaurant & Pizza; Napoli Pizzeria.
