City of Springfield and Pioneer Valley Planning Commission Seek Public Input on Climate Action & Resilience Plan

The City of Springfield has partnered with the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) to lead development of the City's Climate Action & Resilience Plan (CARP), which is being funded by a National Disaster Resilience grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

In order to solicit input from residents on the CARP the City and PVPC are announcing three public meetings that residents are encouraged to attend to provide input and feedback, these meetings are as follows:

•  Mason Square Community Meeting, Thursday, April 13^th, 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Rebecca Johnson School 55 Catharine Street.

• North End Community Meeting, Tuesday, April 18^th, 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Brightwood Library, 359 Plainfield Street.

• City-wide Community Meeting Saturday, April 29^th 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Central Library 220 State Street.

  Meals and Spanish language interpretation will be provided at all meetings. If needed, transportation assistance can be provided.

  The City and PVPC intend to offer a draft plan for public review and comment in early June and will be finalized and submitted to HUD by the end of June.
