Regional Employment Board of Hampden County, Inc. Launches 2017 Summer Jobs Campaign

The Regional Employment Board of Hampden County, Inc. (REB) held a press conference today to launch the 2017 Summer Jobs Campaign. The announcement took place at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center in Holyoke. REB’s goal is to place 800 youth in jobs this summer.

Youth employed through the YouthWorks summer jobs program will earn $11 per hour, work an average of 125 hours over a six week time period, and will receive 15 hours of workplace readiness skills and workplace safety training.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno attended the announcement in addition to Holyoke Mayor Alex B. Morse, Chicopee Mayor Richard J. Kos, Westfield Mayor Brian P. Sullivan, and State Representatives Carlos Gonzalez, Bud Williams, Joseph Wagner, and Aaron Vega.
