Springfield Kicks Off Public Health Month 2017

Health & Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris kicked off the 22nd Annual Springfield Public Health Month at City Hall and called upon the residents and businesses of Springfield to observe this month by reaching a broader range of partners to address all the issues that have a profound effect on our health.  By helping our families, friends, neighbors, co-workers and leaders better understand the importance of public health to enhance our quality of life.

On behalf of Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Chief of Staff Denise R. Jordan presented a proclamation declaring Public Health Month in the City of Springfield. Guest speaker Harold Cox, MSSW, Associate Dean for Public Health Practice at Boston University gave a presentation, “Somebody Needs You: Public Health in a Changing World”.
