Mayor Domenic J. Sarno today recognized the Springfield Garden Club for reaching a major milestone. The club is celebrating tis 100th anniversary this year, and to recognize their century of much-appreciated beautification efforts, he proclaimed Friday, February 17, 2017 as “Springfield Garden Club Day,” in the City of Springfield. The club has events throughout the year scheduled to commemorate their centennial, ranging from guest speakers, plant sales and gardening workshops.
