City Announces Contractor Forum for New Healthy Homes Program

Tuesday, January 17, 2017

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno announces that the Offices of Housing and Community Development are hosting a contractor forum to solicit feedback from contractors on the City’s planned $5 million Healthy Homes Program. The City is inviting all Springfield area contractors who may be interested in participating in the program to attend the meeting.

The public forum will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. at Putnam Vocational High School located at 1300 State Street.  Attendees may go through the main school entrance and a guide will direct them to the forum.

The City intends to release information regarding the program and to solicit feedback from contractors on workforce training needs to ensure that contractors are prepared to be vendors for the program. On-site parking is free and breakfast will be served.

The forum is being hosted by the City of Springfield and the Regional Employment Board of Springfield.   Funding is the result of the City’s winning application through the HUD Community Development Block Grant – National Disaster Resilience Competition.

Questions may be directed to Sean Pham in the Office of Disaster Recovery at (413) 784-4883 or spham@springfieldcityhall.com.
