53rd Remembrance of President John F. Kennedy

The Springfield Board of Park Commissioners and Bill Marrot of the JFK Remembrance Committee hosted the 53rd Remembrance of President John F. Kennedy today at the Eternal Flame in Forest Park. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Congressman Richard E. Neal and Sheriff Michael Ashe were in attendance for the ceremony. Invocation and prayer was given by Rev. Dr. Atu White, Pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Three red roses were placed at the foot of the Eternal Flame, as well as a memorial wreath. Prior to the start of the ceremony a moment of silence was held in honor of Betty Sullivan, wife of former Mayor William C. Sullivan, who recently passed away.
