Mayor Domenic J. Sarno addressed the Exchange Club of Springfield during their meeting today at 350 Grille. Mayor Sarno highlighted the $2.7 billion in economic development projects happening throughout the City, including the MGM Springfield destination resort, Union Station redevelopment, and CRRC rail car manufacturing plant. These projects will spur tax revenue, spin-off to local vendors and further investment in the City of Springfield. In addition to these exciting projects, Mayor Sarno also spoke to the City’s commitment to public safety, naming the current police academy class of 60 officers - the largest class in over 30 years - who will be ready and deployed this November.
