The City of Springfield held its 15th Annual September 11 Remembrance Ceremony today. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Congressman Richard E. Neal, Police Commissioner John Barbieri, Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, David Pelletier, American Medical Response General Manager for Massachusetts, State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey, and Brig. Gen. Sean Collins took part in a Mass of Remembrance with Bishop Mitchell Rozanski at St. Michael’s Cathedral. Following the service, they took part in a ceremony at the Springfield Museums to honor and remember the first responders who gave their lives that day while trying to save others.
