Native American Flag Raising at City Hall

The City of Springfield and the Native American Inter-Tribal Council of Western Massachusetts held their annual flag raising ceremony this morning at City Hall. Darryl Moss, Deputy Communications Director for Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, offered a proclamation on his behalf to recognize the month of September as Native American Heritage Month in the City of Springfield. State Representatives Carlos Gonzalez and Benjamin Swan  also attended to celebrate Native American culture and heritage.
