Greek Flag Raised at City Hall

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined members of the Greek community to raise the Greek flag over City Hall today. Mayor Sarno offered a proclamation recognizing the many contributions the Greek community has given to the City of Springfield, and kicked-off the opening of Glendi 2016. Glendi is the annual celebration of the heritage of Greece for the City of Springfield and surrounding region, celebrating food, music, dance, arts and much more. Glendi will run from Friday, September 9, 2016 to Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
