September 11th Remembered

The City of Springfield held its annual September 11th Remembrance Ceremony this morning to remember the first responders who lost their lives 15 years ago on that tragic day. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, Police Commissioner John Barbieri, and David Pelletier, American Medical Response General Manager for Massachusetts, gathered at the Raymond M. Sullivan Public Safety Complex at 8:45 a.m., the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center. They joined in laying a wreath on the September 11, 2001 Monument to remember they who gave their lives trying to save others.
