1st Annual Health & Wellness Fair: Raising Awareness in the Community

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Commissioner of Health and Human Services Helen Caulton-Harris announce that on August 17th from the hours of 3-6pm, The City of Springfield Department of Health & Human Services will be having a Health & Wellness event, which seeks to bring out high school aged youth and parents.

With the growing issue of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) use in our community, The Springfield Department of Health and Human Services feel there a need to educate community members on the facts regarding youth substance use. We will be highlighting healthy alternatives to decrease the likelihood of the onset of youth use.

Parents are encouraged to enjoy this event. Get information, resources, prizes, raffles and free food!  Sponsors and contributors include DJ KLS, Sodexo, Trampoline Sports, LA Fitness, Friendly’s Ice Cream and Walgreens Pharmacy.

The Community Health & Wellness Event is sponsored by The Springfield Department of Health & Human Services along with other community organizations and businesses, with the goal of bringing communities together to fight and reduce youth substance use.
