MEDIA ADVISORY: Camp Wilder, Bass Pond and the Paddle Club Closed to Swimming

The City of Springfield is advising residents that swimming at Camp Wilder, Bass Pond and the Paddle Club is closed until further notice due to high bacteria results. The Springfield Department of Health and Human Services retested the water today and results will not be available until Saturday, August 6. The Paddle Club, a private operation, has been advised to stop all swimming until further notice. These ponds may not be open for swimming until Monday, August 8. Five Mile Pond continues to test within normal limits.

The Department of Health and Human Services tests all swimming areas on a weekly basis.
