With the school year coming to an end, Springfield Public Schools invites students and families to Springfield Parent Academy’s summer celebration. The “Kickoff to Summer Learning” event will take place on Friday, June 24th, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parent and Community Engagement Center, located at 91 School Street.
“Our students and families have worked very hard during the school year. With this event, we welcome the summer and celebrate their accomplishments,” said Patricia Spradley, Chief of Parent and Community Engagement.
The summer kickoff will include free lunch, music, various vendor resource tables and books to take home and enjoy during the summer. The Springfield Parent Academy will raffle a brand new Kindle. Families will also have the opportunity to register their children for the 2016-17 school year.
Registration for the Kickoff to Summer Learning event is not required. The rain date will be Monday, June 27th.
