Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined Judy Matt and the Spirit of Springfield to announce plans for this year's 4th of July Star Spangled Springfield event at Riverfront Park. Also present for the announcement was MassMutual Vice President of Community Responsibility Nick Fyntrilakis, Police Commissioner John Barbieri, Fire Commissioner Joe Conant, and Colonel James Keefe, Commander of the 104th Fighter Wing, Barnes Air National Guard Base. The festivities on Independence Day will include patriotism, fireworks, music - and even an Air Force flyover - at Riverfront Park starting at 6:00 p.m.
