Regional Employment Board of Hampden County, Inc. Announces 2016 Summer Jobs Program

The Regional Employment Board of Hampden County, Inc. (REB) launched the 2016 Summer Jobs Campaign during a press conference this afternoon at City Hall. Mayor Domenic J Sarno and representatives from REB were joined for the announcement by Holyoke Mayor Alex B. Morse, a Representative from the Office of Chicopee Mayor Richard J. Kos, Westfield Mayor Brian P. Sullivan, Senator James Welch, Senator Donald Humason, Representative Aaron Vega, Representative Benjamin Swan, Representative Joseph F. Wagner, and a Representative of the Western Massachusetts Office of Governor Charlie Baker.

Youth employed through the YouthWorks summer jobs program will earn $10.00 hourly and work an average of 125 hours for six weeks. Additionally, they will receive 15 hours of workplace readiness and workplace safety training.
