Springfield Kicks Off Public Health Month

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Commissioner of Health and Human Services Helen Caulton-Harris kicked off Public Health Month at City Hall with a proclamation and ceremony. Reverend Jason Seymour, Minister of The Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield gave the opening prayer, and closing prayer was given by Imam Rasul Seifullah of the Al-Baqi Islamic Center for Human Excellence. The Public Health Luminary Award was presented to Bettye Anderson Frederic, RN, MSN, and Director's Award was presented to William Carrithers.
