Revitalize CDC Kicks Off #GreenNFit Month at the Home of Mattie Mayes

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was with Revitalize CDC as they kicked off the 4th Annual GreenNFit Neighborhood Block Rebuild Month at the home of Springfield resident Mattie Mayes. Mattie and her family have lived in their home for 47 years. The goal of the Revitalize CDC #GreenNFit initiative is to rebuild 25 homes on one block in 10 years in the Old Hill Neighborhood to help residents reduce energy use, save money, and create safe, sustainable and healthy living environments. Their 10 year plan is to complete 10 contiguous blocks in Old Hill with an average of 25 homes per block, per year.
