Demolition of 523 Union Street

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno announced the demolition of 523 Union Street, a city-owned and tax-foreclosed property in the Upper Hill neighborhood. The property's deterioration was exacerbated by the natural disasters of 2011. The property is being demolished through a combination of City of Springfield Demolition Bond funding and Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Relief funds.
