Officials from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) visited Springfield today to announce a $17 million grant designated for disaster resiliency and recovery. HUD Acting Regional Administrator Kristine Foye presented the grant along with Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Congressman Richard Neal, and local and city officials. Springfield was one of 67 eligible applicants, and 13 total winners to receive funding. Of those awarded funding were eight states, four municipalities and one county.
