Mayor Domenic J. Sarno's Fourth Inauguration (Photos)

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was sworn into his second four-year term as Mayor of the City of Springfield, MA on Monday, January 4, 2016. The formal Inauguration was held at the historic Old First Church. Speakers included Congressman Richard E. Neal, Sherriff Michael J. Ashe, Jr., Senator Eric P. Lesser, Representative Carlos Gonzalez. Mistress of Ceremonies was Attorney Cynthia Tucker and Judge Mary Hurley (retired) gave the Oath of Office. Invocation was given by Bishop Mitchell T. Rozanski, and Prayers of Unity were offered by Imam Dr. Wisham Abdul-Bakim, PhD, Rabbi Mark Shapiro, Pastor Eli Serrano, and Reverend Dr. Calvin J. McFadden Sr. Cassandra Sarno lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Vanessa Ford sang the National Anthem and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra Quintet performed. A reception followed the ceremony at the Mahogany Room in Springfield Symphony Hall.
