MAYOR DOMENIC J. SARNO TO RECOGNIZE ALBANO’S MARKET FOR 42 YEARS OF SERVICE WITH KEY TO THE CITY

Springfield, MA -  On Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 2:30 p.m., Mayor Domenic Sarno, will be presenting a Key to the City along with a proclamation recognizing Albano’s Market and it’s owners Filomena Bruschi and Theresa D’Angelantonio for their longstanding commitment to community and their work in the City of Springfield. Their parents opened the small, family-run business 1942. 

Mayor Sarno stated that the sisters epitomize the Italian-American family virtues and thanks them for their tireless efforts and contributions to the culturally vibrant neighborhood.  He further stated that they’ve always given of themselves to help others in need, but never looked for that “pat on the back” that they justly deserve.

The Albano Sisters will be presented with the Key to the City and a proclamation on Wednesday, March 4th at 2:30 p.m., at Albano’s Market 1167 East Columbus Avenue in Springfield.
