Springfield School Volunteers (SSV) announces the launch of its new website www.springfieldschoolvolunteers.org. The website was made possible in part by donations received through the December 2012 Valley Gives campaign. The one-day philanthropy push, organized by the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, was a 24-hour effort to leverage technology and social media to help connect donors with their favorite nonprofits.
The new site offers simple navigation and allows visitors to access information about SSV's core programs, current volunteer opportunities and upcoming training sessions. It showcases numerous ways members of the community can assist the students of the Springfield Public Schools by volunteering and/or making donations. Volunteers and school staff can now complete evaluations online and visitors can sign up to join the mailing list.
Springfield School Volunteers is a nationally recognized, award-winning non-profit organization founded in 1969 to support the Springfield Public Schools.
