Mayor Domenic J. Sarno Extends Invitation To Participate In Moment Of Silence

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno received an invitation from Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick at the request of Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy to join in a moment of silence at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 to mark the one week anniversary of the tragedy that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

 

Mayor Sarno wants to extend the same invitation to all the residents and businesses in the City of Springfield and to be aware of this event and to participate any way they feel appropriate. Mayor Sarno added “This is a small gesture that we can participate in to show support for those in Newtown, Connecticut as they begin to try and recover from this inconceivable tragedy”. 

 

Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy has requested the entire nation offer a moment of silence to reflect on the lives lost in Newtown, CT. The moment of silence will occur tomorrow morning; Friday, December 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.
