Springfield Lodge Of Elks # 61 Makes Donation To The Springfield Tornado Relief Fund

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno today announced that the Springfield Tornado Relief Fund has received a $5,000.00 donation from the Springfield Lodge of Elks # 61 located on Tiffany Street in Springfield’s Forest Park Neighborhood. The donation to the Springfield Tornado Relief Fund was one of several donations made to communities impacted by the June 1, 2011, tornado. 

Speaking on behalf of Elks Lodge # 61 and its membership, Buddy Avezzie, Past District Deputy and Manager of the Lodge stated “we were all pleased to be able to participate in the very important fundraiser that allowed us to make this donation to the Springfield Tornado Relief Fund.  The Elks organization is committed to helping others and that is what we do especially in a time of need.”

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno expressed his appreciation to the Elks Lodge # 61 for their generosity. “The Elks Lodge # 61 continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to our Springfield community and the donation received today symbolizes how caring and compassionate their members are.”
