BACKGROUND

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and City Officials will announce the details of intersection improvements along Main Street and Front Street (a.k.a. Route 141) at the intersections of River Street and Myrtle Street in the City’s Indian Orchard neighborhood.  

The area has been studied over the last 10-year by the City and the area experiences high traffic volumes and congestion during peak commute times.

A preliminary improvement plan has been prepared to realign River Street and Front Street such that it intersects the intersection of Myrtle Street and Main Street.  The plan also calls for the integration of a new traffic signal in the area to improve safe and efficient access for this area.
