City Of Springfield Issues First Comprehensive Annual Financial Report For Public Review

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer Lee C. Erdmann are pleased to announce that the City of Springfield today issued for public review the City’s First Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011.  This report includes a complete set of Financial Statements which have been audited by Powers and Sullivan LLC, a firm of licensed certified public accountants.

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report consists of three sections.  

·  Introductory Section – This section contains the Letter of Transmittal, Organizational Chart, and Directory of Officials.

·  Financial Section – This section includes the Independent Auditors’ Report, Management’s Discussion and Analysis, the Basic Financial Statements and notes to the Basic Financial Statements.

·  Statistical Section - This section contains ten years of statistical tables representing social and economic data, financial trends, and fiscal capacity.
