Springfield’S Department of Public Works Reminds Residents There Will Be No Rubbish Collection on Thanksgiving Holiday

November 21, 2011 – The Department of Public Works reminds Springfield residents who have municipal trash collection on Thursdays that there will be no collection service on Thursday, November 24th due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  

Collection of rubbish will take place on Saturday, November 26th for residents with Thursday rubbish collection.  Residents who have recycling collection service on November 24th should also place out their recyclables and yard waste on Saturday November 26th.

Items should be placed out for collection no later than 7:00 a.m., on the day of collection.
