July 27, 2011 – The Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control & Adoption Center on Cottage Street in Springfield will be closed today to the public due the lack of electricity. The electrical outage resulted from yesterday’s severe weather.
The T.J. O’Connor Center will be staffed to care for the animals at the facility and staff will be responding to emergency calls. Members of the public will not be allowed into the facility until electricity has been restored.
