SPRINGFIELD REMINDS RESIDENTS THAT FISCAL YEAR 2010 TRASH FEE BILLS WERE DUE APRIL 26, 2010
June 11, 2010 – The City of Springfield reminds residents that the Fiscal Year 2010 trash fee bills were due on Monday, April 26, 2010 and that unpaid trash bills have been accruing interest at a rate of 12% annually since April 27th.
The Fiscal Year 2010 bills reflect the trash fee for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. The bills include a reduction from prior fiscal year bills to $80.00 per bin annually/$60.00 per bin annually for individuals who qualify for a discount.
Residents who fail to make payment by June 18, 2010, will incur a late fee charge of $10.00.
The Fiscal Year 2011 trash bills, which have not yet been mailed, will contain an additional reduction to $75.00 per bin annually/$56.25 per bin for individuals who qualify for a discount.
