The two-hour event entitled “United in Hope” held on October 2 at the Basketball Hal of Fame showcased different initiatives that are underway in Springfield to help both young people and adults improve their reading and learning skills for future employment.
The host of “The Chris Matthews Show” and “Hardball with Chris Matthews” on MSNBC made an opening address of about 25-minutes on the importance of education and then helped facilitate a community discussion.
