June 2, 2009 - Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and the Springfield Finance Control Board announced today that Personnel Director Marilyn Montagna will voluntarily separate her employment with the City. Montagna’s last day with the City will be Friday, June 5, 2009. Mayor Sarno stated “I want to thank Marilyn for her service to the City and wish her well with all her future endeavors.”
“I am very appreciative for the opportunity given to me to serve my City and community,” stated Montagna. I am especially proud and pleased with the savings that the Personnel Department was able to generate for the City through the successful management and restructuring of the City’s health plan,” added Montagna.
Gail Walls will handle the day-to-day operations of the City’s Personnel Department and will report to Acting Chief Administrative and Financial Officer Stephen P. Lisauskas.
