May 19, 2009 - Mayor Domenic J. Sarno along with several local private, public and non-profit sector organizations gave a presentation about “Buy Springfield Now” on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at Center Court of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
The goal of Buy Springfield Now is to help preserve and promote homeownership opportunities within the City of Springfield. The initiative establishes a collaboration of private, public and non-profit sector organizations to work together in developing ways to highlight the City of Homes as the regional home purchase destination and, to help stabilize whole neighborhoods and communities. As a result, the Buy Springfield Now collaboration has put together the key elements that fosters and encourages home ownership.
