Golden Corral Restaurant Openning Will Bring New Jobs to Springfield

(SPRINGFIELD, MA)—Golden Corral Buffet & Grill proudly announces the opening of its newest restaurant, located at 436 Parker Street in Springfield, MA, on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at 11:00 a.m.

The Springfield, MA, Golden Corral will bring more than 60 new jobs, which will include a mix of full-time and part time employees—including management, wait staff, line servers, and kitchen staff.

Along with home-style buffet favorites such as pot roast, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables, the new Springfield Golden Corral will also showcase exhibition food preparation featuring cooked-to-order steak on the dinner buffet as well as a variety of Asian-inspired dishes that will be served on its Pagoda buffet.   In addition to the hot buffet items, the restaurant will feature a fresh-market salad bar, where guests may build their own salads from dozens of ingredients.  Rounding out the buffet offering, a variety of cakes, pies, and homemade breads—including melt-in-your-mouth yeast rolls—will be baked fresh in-house and served in the Dessert Café.

Besides its lunch and dinner buffets (which will feature more than 140 hot and cold food items), the Springfield Golden Corral will also serve a Sunrise Breakfast Buffet on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  

The Sunrise Breakfast Buffet will feature made-from-scratch omelettes and waffles, along with waking up favorites such as scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, pancakes, French toast, and homemade biscuits.

Hours of operation for the new Springfield Golden Corral will be:

                        • Monday – Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – 9 p.m.

                        • Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

                        • Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

                        • Sunday, 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.

As a complement to its every day family dining offering, the restaurant will also have banquet facilities that will be available for groups and organizations in the area. 

The Springfield Golden Corral is owned by entrepreneur Peter Lee and will be operated by General Manager Arelis Agron.  Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno will be on hand at the ribbon cutting event.
