Worthington Street Explosion Response

Mayor Sarno's office has issued the following advisories for residents and businesses affected by the Friday, November 23, 2012 gas-related explosion on Worthington Street: 

Residents whose homes sustained damage should contact their insurance company as soon as possible.

Triage housing assistance (shelter, food, and clothing) is available at 436 Bridge Street from 2 - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Sunday. Central High School has been designated as a shelter for Saturday night - you must arrive by 8 p.m.

The T.J. O'Connor Animal Shelter may be contacted for assistance with pets displaced by the explosion at (413)781-1484.

Assistance for businesses affected by the explosion will be available from the Office of Planning and Economic Development at (413)787-6020 starting Monday morning at 8:15 a.m.
