Springfield’s ‘Movie in the Park’ Scheduled for Wednesday, July 31st Postponed Due to Inclement Weather

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Executive Director of Parks, Buildings and Recreation Management (PBRM) Thomas Ashe, in coordination with the Indian Orchard Citizens Council, have announced that the showing of the film “Wonka” that had been scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2024 will be postponed until Thursday due to inclement weather. The movie showing will now take place on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the same time and location, 8:30 p.m. at Myrtle Street Park.

The ‘Movies in the Park’ series is the city’s annual summer public movie nights being held in parks throughout Springfield with popular family movies being shown on the giant inflatable screen. These events are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks.
