Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, joined by aide Shenell Ford, welcomed Springfield Cultural Council President Andrew Cade, Trust Transfer Project Director Vanessa Ford, Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Family Services President & Chief Executive Officer Shannon Rudder, and MLK Family Services Vice President of Finance and Operations Patricia Bernard for a meeting today to discuss plans for the city’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day ceremony next year.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I am grateful to Andrew Cade, Shannon Rudder, Patricia Bernard, and the ‘Songstress of Springfield’ Vanessa Ford, for coming in today to give Shenell and I updates and prepare for our annual MLK Day ceremony. We are proud to continue to honor and recognize Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy each year and looking forward to celebrating together next month.”
